Western Cape Hunting info for 2011

Here is a message from the organisers of the Western cape hunts, for those of you looking to join in:

Hi All,

I have had a number of enquires about when the beagle runs for this season are commencing, so I thought I would drop everyone an email to get things started.  My apologies for not doing so earlier this year, but we have a new addition to our family who has been keeping us rather busy.

Contact list

I have attached a copy of our current contact list.  If everyone can please check their details and let me know of any changes.  Should you not want to be part of the runs anymore, please let me know so that I can remove your name from the list.  Also, your cell numbers are extremely important in the event of a run being cancelled due to bad weather.

If your details are correct, please also just acknowledge this.  SHOULD I RECEIVE NO REPLY FROM YOU, YOU WILL ALSO BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST, AS THE CURRENT CONTACT LIST IS EXTREMELY LONG AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE LIST NO LONGER ATTEND ANY RUNS.

2009 Results

A recap of the 2010 results are as follows:

1st place – Quattro with 128 points

2nd place – Merlot with 101 points

3rd place – Coco with 88 points

The 2010 prize giving will be held after one of our runs.

2011 Season

I think that we will try and have our first run on the weekend, 15th May 2010 (depending on the amount of rainfall we have had by then).  I also need to contact the farmer at Anura to confirm that we are all still welcome there.

As per usual, an invite for the run will be sent on the Monday prior to the run.  We require the yes / no’s by the Thursday afternoon in order to prepare the score sheets, drag & sausage.

For the newcomers, do not worry about the tag numbers, these will be sorted out at the first run.

Lastly, as we have a little one in the house, we will probably not be able to attend all the runs this season, so if anyone is willing to assist with the organizing of the runs, the preparation of the drag etc, please let me know.  It would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Cheers

Christine
